RE: Towing or Carrying a Harley or Gold Wing

I have been taking my Goldwing with me for ten years. First I used a trailer, but then my wife couldn’t go anywhere without me. You also have to find a place to park the trailer at the campsite. Now I tow a PU with the Goldwing in the bed, that way my wife and myself have other ways of going places if the weather is bad. And she can now go alone in the PU. The PU has a loading ramp so I just press a button to load the Goldwing. I have used this ramp in my last two tow PU truck. Pictures of PU with ramp & bike loaded PM me if you need more info. http://heavensmyhome.com/Motorcycle/images/MVC-622F.JPG height=320 width=240

RE: Do I want to use inverter all the time?

Yes, I do. My new RV had a 600 watt inverter to supply the TV, etc. when I purchase it. I install a 3000 watt inverter to supply my MW, Ref, & 120 volts outlets. I wired it to a control relay so when there was no shore or gen. power it was on. That way when I am driving down the road or parked without power, all my outlets and appliances has power except the Heat Pump.

RE: Grand Canyon: Info. from previous visitors?

Facilities at the north rim do not open until May 15. The campground does not have any hook ups. There is a small campground at Jacob Lake with hook ups. The north rim is at a higher elevation, so is much cooler then the south rim. There are fewer visitors, so is less crowded. Because of this, I prefer the north rim. Kanab, UT is a good home base to visit the north rim, Zion and Bryce as day trips. From there, one can move on to Page and tour Glen Canyon Dam and Antelope Canyon and then move on to Monument Valley and Moab. Been to both many times, north rim is best choise, also close to Zion and Bryce. There is a lot of wildlife at the north rin.
